I want to stop auto defrag. It seems every 3 days or so XP decides to optimize itself. I've had it do this during video encoding, video capture and other system resource hogs. It trashes my captures when it does that and kills the system performance. How do I shut this off permanently? Thanks!

Disable Auto-Defrag in XP

Zilla zilla62XS...@bellsouth.net alt os windows2000 I used the app. on the following link to do auto defrag for my HDs. I'm able to schedule task using the "at" method on the command prompt, verified via Control Panel's Scheduled Task, but nothing happens, that is, the task does NOT run.

Also, the AutoDeFrag entries are contiguous, whereas in the previous example they were not contiguous but rather separated by entries for other tasks. A third difference is that the AutoDeFrag entries are the last entries in the file, whereas in the previous sample they were not the last entries.
