Autodefrag with a vbs script
I know this because I've called up the Task Manager and can see defrag.exe running in the list. How can I turn this automatic defragmenting off? I've looked in scheduled tasks etc but cannot find it anywhere. It's strange that it has only been apparent for a couple of weeks, before that it did not occur.

After trying out four third-party defrag programs for real world performance differences, I've found little reason to use a third party defragger. The built-in XP Defrag does a pretty good job. I'm not sure if by "real world performance differences" you mean the computer's performance or the defragger's.
